headed up north for a weekend full of festivities! Trying to start it off right by packing the essentials and avoiding that fast food urge. Coconut water (my fav) and trail mix! I always home make my trail mix-store made brands can be very unhealthy when eaten in excess. Lots of added sugar and half is usually candy! I included dove chocolate covered blueberries…yes chocolate but no mm’s or loads of sugary dried fruit. Also included are walnuts, almonds and dried cherries. Delicious! Nuts provide high amounts of calories yes…but the benefits outweigh the calories when the correct portion is eaten. Healthy fats and protein provided keep you full longer and give you loads of nutrients! Just make sure to baggie up for control!
